Today we really enjoyed a nostalgic and entertaining trip to the 1950s East End, a talk by Jeff Rozelaar based on his book Bagels and Bacon.

February 2019 ~ Stewart Linford, "The Windsor Chair"
Stewart Linford, Windsor chair maker based in High Wycombe the home of the English furniture trade for 35 years. Stewart has built a world wide emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and making the buying experience pleasurable for the customer.He has been presented to The Queen. Stewart explained his love of wood from a very early age to his apprenticeship and how he arrived at the present day Stewart brought with him 4 large chairs and a stool. An explanation of how the designs were made, the tooling, the different woods used and why. There was excellent interaction with our ladies. Stewart concluded his presentation dressed like Winston Churchill,with cigar and homberg hat,sat in the Winston chair and gave one of Winston's speeches. BRILLIANT.
